Message from the Executive Director

In May of 1996 a group of parents met to discuss starting a new, independent school in Brantford.  It was to provide for a true partnership between home and school. With a great deal of excitement, in that spring and summer of 1996, these first Braemar families gave countless hours to the realization of the dream, the founding of Braemar House School.

The school's first 13 years have been marked with enthusiasm and energy, and the passion and fervour that we recognize in dream-makers of all kinds. Together we’ve built a very special place of learning, a school of traditional values and innovative programs, of enriching studies and individual support, and one that is grounded in the partnership between home and school. We embrace our responsibility as parents, educators, and as a school community, to provide a learning environment that will both motivate and enrich the children entrusted to our care.

As parents, we care about our children, believing in their goodness and potential, wanting with all our hearts what is best for them.  We care about the community in which they will be formed, the community that will prepare them for the living and learning expected of them. At Braemar our children have a terrific learning environment, the result for the most part of small class sizes and the expertise of our qualified and dedicated teachers. We meet the high demands of the Ministry of Education curriculum guidelines, and our initiatives in French programming, Information Technology, Drama and Music are at the forefront of the educational community for quality, relevance and innovation. Our experience is enriched by the partnership we have created between home and school. Interaction between parent and teacher, between student and school, is encouraged in an open door policy, a welcoming posture, and open dialogue.

This is what makes us a really great school. We are always happy to show off our school, and invite you to visit. Our students love being here , your child will too.
