Since its opening in September of 1996, Braemar House School has aspired to stay true to its vision of academic excellence, and that commitment has led to modest but consistent growth over more than 15 years.
This growth has required an investment in the growth of our facilities. In 1996 Braemar House School opened with five classrooms, offering programming from Grades 1 to 7 in Cainsville. In August 1997, Braemar House School relocated to our current location at 36 Baxter Street, Brantford.
In the summer of 2007, and then again in the summer of 2011, a carefully planned and beautifully finished addition increased our classroom space to what it is now -- 10 classrooms, a Library, and a Resource Room. As a result we have been able since 2009 to meet our most valued standards - offering straight grades from Grade One to Grade 8, with small class sizes and stronger academics and enriched student programming. Renovations and improvements to our washrooms have created change room facilities for our Physical Education and extracurricular programs. All of this expansion has been accomplished in a fiscally responsible manner.
To further serve Braemar’s enriched programs and small class sizes the following capital improvements are exciting possibilities in our long term plans:
- A theatre to showcase our vibrant Drama Program.
- A specifically designated French/Languages classroom.
- A dedicated Music room and facilities to offer private lessons.
- An expanded kitchen / servery to better facilitate a daily hot lunch program.
- Expanded daycare facilities to allow for a larger pre-school program.
