Another Week of Online Learning... but we had a lot of FUN!

This week at Braemar we were challenged by Mr. Enyedi with the Hockey Challenge! All the students loved this...especially Mr. E!

Our Grade 4-8 classes were invited this week to watch an online production. This play was produced by Education Arts.

Strange New Days was written, rehearsed and performed entirely in isolation. The performance was live and interactive in real-time. The 3 actors used zoom as a way to perform as well as interact with our kids. The characters talked about the various emotions felt from March of 2020 through to current times. They shared their thoughts, fears and struggles using their voices to talk and sing. The songs and script were all written by the amazing staff at Education Arts.

Our students across the grades practiced the Virtue of Creativity in many different ways! Montessori created Frogs for their weekly art activity, the Grade 2 students draw daily with Art for Kids Hub on youtube and the Grade 6 students created amazing Perspective Photos.

Our community gathered to wrap up the week and the Month of May in our Zoom assembly. We honoured those students who demonstrated the virtue of Creativity not only this month by ongoing over the school year. Miss. Whiffing (Grade 6) finished her year with us on Friday as she is starting her maternity leave. We are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of Little baby B......Staff and students created short video messages for Miss. W and those were shared at the assembly. We will miss Miss Whiffing next year but we are thrilled for both Jamie and her partner Mike on their impending new arrival.
