CAT-4 Test Results: A Strong Start to the Year at Braemar!

Each fall, Braemar students complete the Canadian Achievement Test (CAT-4), providing valuable insight into individual and class learning strengths. The CAT-4 compares student performance to both the Ontario curriculum expectations and a national sample of over two million Canadian students.

⢠91% in Vocabulary
⢠88% in Writing Conventions
⢠84% in Spelling
ā Mathematics Skills
 ⢠94% Competent/Proficient in Mathematics
⢠87% Competent/Proficient in Computation & Estimation
Our primary students also showed strong results:
⢠Grade 1Ā ā 100% Competent/Proficient in Reading and Math
⢠Grade 2Ā ā 71% Competent/Proficient in Reading and 93%Ā in Math
š Grade-Level Performance
Ā Overall, students in Grades 1ā8 are achieving:

⢠+1.1 grade levels above peers in Writing
⢠+1.3 grade levels above peers in Reading
